Schools Programme
Our schools' programme covers both ASN and Mainstream pupils.
Curriculum Session
We work with physical education staff during school hours to deliver basketball sessions. This introduces a new sport to pupils, teachers and helpers alike.
Shoot For Success Award Scheme
This scheme is for pupils in the 11-16 year group.
It has been designed with a flexible approach in its organisation to allow pupils to be involved in all aspects of its implementation - this giving it a broader relevance in terms of the National Curriculum.
The Scheme introduces basketball fundamentals to beginners, and for pupils with some experience of the game, it provides the opportunity to work at improving their skill level and supplies the means of assessing their progress. The assessment table is progressive so that pupils can work towards higher levels as they move up the school.
For all pupils the aim us to motivate, provide an enjoyable, healthy activity and give a sense of personal achievement.
Lunchtime Clubs
In conjunction with local schools, we run lunchtime basketball clubs for any pupils that are interested in playing more sport.
After School Clubs
Offering an introduction to basketball in the community with links to local clubs, Young people who are interested in the sport and wish to play the game after school.
These clubs act as feeder sessions to local clubs.
The schools usually run these from 3pm - 4pm (or when the school day finishes)
